Using your screens
A quick guide for staff: what each screen shows and what to tap. Every screen updates on its own as orders come in, so leave it open on a tablet, phone or TV.
Kitchen screen
Every order to make, oldest first. A ticket turns amber when it's at risk of running late and red when it's late.
- Tap the big button on a ticket to move it to its next step.
- On the last step, tap Ready. The customer's tracker and the collection board update straight away.
- Tapped the wrong one? Tap Undo on the message at the bottom, or bring an order back from All completed.
Turn the bell on at the top to hear a chime when a new ticket arrives. Simple shows one button per ticket; Steps shows every step. Message sends a voice note to the counter.
Station screens
A kitchen screen for one station, such as the bar or ice cream. It shows only the orders and items made there. Tap Ready when your part is done; the order is ready once every station has finished.
Counter screen
The front desk. Orders that are ready to hand over are at the top, and the ones still being made are under Coming up.
- Find the order by its number, the customer's name or phone in the search.
- Check the bag, ticking off anything added at the desk, then tap Handed over.
- Tap New order to take an order at the desk or over the phone.
Collection board
A TV or tablet facing customers. It shows order numbers and first names only: what's being prepared, and what's ready to collect. Nothing to tap. Turn the sound on with the speaker button to play a chime when an order is ready.
Manager screen
Every open order across the steps, with the late ones first. Filter by step or type, turn on busy mode to add time to every order when the kitchen is swamped, and see which screens are online.
Dispatch screen
Delivery orders and drivers on a map. Tap an order, then tap a driver to put it in their bag, and tap Send out when they leave. Suggested runs group nearby orders for you. Drivers start their shift in the driver app on their phone.
Try it with a test order
In Orderpeal in your Shopify admin, open the Dashboard and choose Send yourself a test order. It shows on your screens within seconds, and is cancelled for you afterwards so it never counts in your sales.
Something not right?
If a screen says it's offline, check the device's Wi-Fi. Taps made while offline are saved and sent when it reconnects. For anything else, email support@orderpeal.com.
